Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was left red-faced after her husband Jean-Bernard publicly slated her record label two weeks ago for not promoting her latest single, Only Human.

Then, just days later, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini faced more humiliation.

Her pal and mentor Simon Cowell – who she famously fell out with in 2011 when she was axed from the US X Factor – failed to support her publicly.

Simon said in an interview: “I know her [Cheryl’s] record label and I know her management and they work very, very hard. I’ve read this kind of stuff in the past and [from experience] it’s probably best kept within a meeting room.”

Sources close to the 31-year-old singer reveal she’s hurt Simon chose to speak out and feels she no longer has any friends in the music industry.

A source says: “Cheryl is feeling isolated at the moment, she feels she has no supporters in the music industry. She’s been stressed about her singing career and feels very let down.

"What hurts more is that she doesn’t have Simon’s backing any more. It’s as if everyone is turning their backs on her.”
