The 31-year-old raised speculation when she dropped the Cole from her Twitter account, redirecting followers to a @CherylOfficial account.
Cheryl, who formerly went by the surname Tweedy, took on Cole from her first marriage to footballer Ashley.
And it seems as if the songstress is keen to lose her ties to the past now that she has tied the knot for a second time.
At around lunchtime on Monday her account, which did have the handle @CherylCole, had been cleared completely of pictures and posts.
All that was left was one tweet, which read: 'If you would like to follow Cheryl please visit @Cherylofficial.'
