Chanelle Hayes said she couldn’t be happier with her beautifully curvy size 16 figure.
And she proved it when, during a body confidence session on ITV’s Loose Women, she stripped down to a bikini live on the show.
Katie Price praised the 28-year-old, saying: “Your belly's actually flat.
“You've got no rolls there.”
Despite admitting she wants to tone up her arms, Chanelle explained that she’s finally confident in her own skin.
In fact, back when she was at her smallest size, she found herself dangerously close to an eating disorder, relying on liposuction and extreme diets to keep her size in check.
“I was so miserable all I wanted was a burger… I was so evil. I was so hungry all of the time.
“It was really unhealthy. I would hate to advocate all that dieting. Living in London everyone seemed so much skinnier than me at the time.”
It definitely seems as if Chanelle’s acceptance of her curves is far healthier than extreme dieting, doesn’t it?
And there’s no denying that she’s much happier - although a lot of this may be to do with the new man in her life, Ryan.
Opening up about her boyfriend, Chanelle said: “He doesn't care [about my weight], he likes me however I am.
“He met me when I was this size. He has never seen me thin.”
However, while viewers flocked to Twitter to praise Chanelle, her ex-boyfriend Jack decided to do just the opposite.
He wrote: “Why do I keep seeing things about Chanelle Hayes being HAPPY at 30 stone?
“Surely people don't believe this…”
However Chanelle’s followers leapt to her defence, with one firing back: “You’re a waste of space - she ain't 30 stone, she's a nice size and a role model for curvy women!
“Why don’t you go and make something of your life?”
Not to be silenced, he responded: "yer looks like it ..... Anything for pound note that girl [sic]"
His comments are cruel, albeit unsurprising, as there’s certainly no love lost between these exes.
Taking to Twitter, Chanelle shared a screenshot of the abusive messages she has received from her former partner.
Although the whole messages couldn’t be seen, one of the texts read: “U take the f!cking p!ss Chanelle carry on and watch how much I embarrass u.”
The chilling messages were screenshotted and then tweeted to West Yorkshire and Essex Police, who Chanelle also sent her missed calls list to, which showed a withheld number calling every few minutes.
Responding to supportive messages on her Twitter page, Chanelle wrote: “Threats now. Twitter isn’t the place for this, but I am not scared of you and I will show everyone what you are like. Unstable psychopath.”
Chanelle has, for the time being, chosen to ignore Jack’s body-shaming comments, focusing instead on all the things that make her happy.
The 5ft 4 reality star previously told us: “I’m really embracing my body – why should there be so much emphasis on weight? You can look and feel good at any size!
“Besides my priorities have changed. Blakely is at school and I’d rather be at home with him in the evening than at the gym. There are more important things in life than what size you are.”
