Titanic will go down as one of the most successful movies of all time, and it’s difficult to imagine anyone else in the role of romantic, nomadic artist Jack Dawson.
But there were several other high profile actors competing with relative unknown Leo DiCaprio for the life changing role.
One of the stars up for the part was- believe it or not- Clueless actor Jeremy Sisto.
Jeremy- who now stars in US drama The Returned- told The Huffington Post that he was left pretty upset when he failed to win the part of Jack Dawson in the 1997 blockbuster.
“I was just insanely inspired by it and a little heartbroken when the role didn’t come my way.”
Despite losing out to the role, Jeremy was still a massive fan of the film.
“I loved it. It was a huge thing at the time. What a great idea.
“It was the first script that I'd read where someone was actually going to make the movie. It was exciting to just be a part of the process. There was a full crew, full set and make-up and hair and wardrobe.
“I read with Kate as well as three other actresses. It was on a stage, a room that was supposed to be the boat. It was a pretty great experience, to be involved in something that had that kind of scope... James Cameron was trying to push the limits on things.”
Other actors who tried out for the role included Johnny Depp, Christian Bale and River Phoenix.
