She revealed to Closer earlier this month that she was left “mortified” when Twitter trolls made cruel comments about her former size 16 shape. And after slimming down to a slender size 8 late last year, Charlotte Crosby found herself on the receiving end of more negativity last week when she was dubbed “trashy” after posting steamy lingerie snaps of herself in a New York hotel room.

Charlotte posted this racy selfie to her Instagram page

But the Geordie Shore star insists she won’t be taming her new sexy image, telling us: “I’m no longer the fat Geordie Shore clown!”

She says: “I feel sexier than ever since losing weight and I’ve really changed my image lately. I feel confident posing in underwear and I’ve got no intention of toning it down. On the show, I’ve long been known as the fat, funny one, but I like being sexy and confident now. I can still be the same old Charlotte. I haven’t dieted away my sense of humour.”

Charlottewas famed for hersense of humour and wild antics in the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2013

The star also set tongues wagging that she’d rekindled her romance with boyfriend of 18 months Mitch Jenkins after the pair enjoyed a cosy trip to New York recently, but she insists they’re not properly back together. Charlotte revealed last September that Mitch had left her heartbroken when he ended their relationship by text.

She says: “Mitch and I have been spending a lot more time together recently but I’m not putting a label on it. There are feelings there of course, but right now my career is my main focus and he has to understand that I don’t have time to commit to him like I did before. We’ll see what the future holds for us, though.”
