Charlotte Church has announced that she has had a miscarriage, losing her first baby with partner Jonny Powell
Only one month after revealing her third pregnancy, singer Charlotte Church has announced that she has tragically lost her baby.
Charlotte, 31, revealed her pregnancy whilst performing at Birmingham Pride in May, her first baby with new musician partner Jonathan Powell.
Announcing the sad news on her Twitter, Charlotte's Twitter page read: "Charlotte and Jonny are very sad to announce that they lost their baby."
It added: "Now is a time for grieving and being together as a family. We kindly ask everyone to respect that peace."
She was flooded with messages of condolence and support, with one kind-hearted fan even offering for her to come along to their local Sands group for parents who have lost children.
Charlotte, who is already mum to Ruby, nine, and Dexter, eight, with her rugby player ex-fiancé Gavin Henson, was believed to have been due around November.
She started dating Jonny in 2010 after calling off her engagement to Gavin in May.
Charlotte recently revealed to The Telegraph that she was thinking about having more children, and said: "I'm really happy with my dude. He's lush, he's so smart and he really looks after me.
"I don't know, I'd never rule out anything. Never say never!"
She was also criticised for placing an anonymous advert for a nanny, describing herself as a "well-known singer" from a "VIP family".
The advert also said that she was due in November.
Our thoughts are with Charlotte and Jonny's family at this difficult time.
