Viewers of Stand Up To Cancer were left shocked and angry after a Channel 4 tweet wrongly claimed Michael Bublé's son Noah had died of cancer.
Last night saw the return of Channel 4's annual Stand Up To Cancer broadcast, featuring a host of celebrities and entertainers come together for a night of comedy, exclusive performances and TV specials all the while raising money and awareness for the Stand Up To Cancer charity.
This year, Michael Bublé joined forces with James Corden to film a special episode of Carpool Karaoke in which he joked with the presenter and sang a number of his biggest hits.
The episode also saw Michael open up about his son Noah's heartbreaking battle with cancer following a hepatoblastoma diagnosis in 2016 ,when Noah was just three year's old. Noah has since been given the all clear.
However, during Michael's emotional speech, Channel 4 mistakenly tweeted that his son had died of the illness.
"Watching Michael Buble talking about the death of his son from Cancer is one of the most heartbreaking things we've ever watched.
"Sending him and his family so much love for telling their story!," the channel's social media team wrote.
Channel 4 quickly deleted the tweet, but not before some eagle-eyed fans had noticed the mistake and called for the post to be removed.
One wrote: "Delete this now!," while another added: "Noah is alive and well - get the tweet changed!".
During an emotional moment in his Carpool Karaoke segment Michael recounted the moment he and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, found out about their son's cancer diagnosis.
"It is so hard to have to acknowledge it," he explained.
"Obviously we got his diagnosis and that was it, my whole life ended. At first it was just, it is too hard to talk about.
"They said it wasn’t great so we took it day by day."
