The 26-year-old's birth mother Andrea was tragically killed by a client in 1988, when working as a prostitute.

She tweeted: "To all the people who have lost their mums, they are all up there thinking of us. #MissYouAndrea #HappyMothersDay xxxxx"

Speaking honestly about her mother's death, the former Big Brother star revealed Andrea went to dangerous lengths to provide for Chanelle and her two other daughters.

Chanelle told Now! magazine: "To provide for us, she'd become a dealer. She ended up going to the Manchester flat of a psychotic freak.

"He strangled her to death with his tie before chopping her up and cutting off one of her nipples, leaving her body so mutilated she was only identifiable by a birthmark on her leg.

"He was sentenced to life in prison that November."

Chanelle was just five-months-old when her mother was murdered. She was adopted by couple Christine and Harry, who tried to keep the horrible truth from her for as long as possible.

Posting a picture of her with Christine today, Chanelle wrote: "Happy Mothers Day to my amazing mummy. I love you to the moon and back xxxxxxxxxxx"

Chanelle is now a mum herself to four-year-old son Blakely, from her relationship with footballer Matthew Bates.

Sharing an adorable snap of her with her little man, Chanelle said: "Happy Mothers Day to all the ladies out there lucky enough to been blessed with our little misses and misters [sic]."
