Big Brother star Chanelle, 26, was always told by her adoptive parents that “her mummy had gone to heaven”, but it wasn’t until she was 15 that she found out the horrific details.
Her birth mother Alison Sinclair was a drug user and dealer, and gave birth to Chanelle while she was serving time in prison.

Chanelle recalls ‘growing curious’ about Alison as she grew up, but her adoptive parents – Christine and Harry – didn’t tell her the truth until she was rushed to hospital after attempting to overdose on alcohol and drugs and cutting her wrists.
Speaking to a UK magazine, Chanelle said: “It was a bid for attention, more than a suicide attempt. But it worked. Shortly afterwards, mum finally realised how much it hurt, I needed to know.”
It was then that she learned her mum had been a prostitute, and that she had turned to drug dealing to support them and had been killed by a client.
Chantelle continued: “She ended up going to the Manchester flat of a psychotic freak. He strangled her to death, before cutting off one of her nipples, leaving her body so mutilated that she was only identifiable by a birth mark on her leg.”

Depite everything, Chanelle, who is mum to son Blakey, says she can’t be mad at Alison, as she grew up in loving environment. It was a much different story for her other children.
