Speaking on the Jeremy Kyle show yesterday, the 25-year-old broke down as he opened up about losing Jade, who died from cervical cancer on March 22 2009.
Recalling his last moments with her, he said: ‘I kissed her and walked out and then it just went silent after a couple of minutes.’
Following his appearance on the show, Chanelle took to Twitter to explain her reasons for ending their relationship, saying that Jack is not ready to move on.
'We shouldn't have ever entered a relationship when he was still so badly grieving'
In a lengthy Twitter statement, the former Big Brother contestant turned page 3 model said: ‘It is overwhelmingly clear to me we shouldn't have ever entered a relationship when he was still so badly grieving.’
Claiming that Jack had kept his feelings hidden from her when they got together shortly after Jade’s death, Chanelle added:
‘This fact was never made clear to me and was always denied by him regardless of the support I offered to him.’
Chanelle admitted that the toll of his grief had put a burden on their relationship as she continued:
‘Lately, the toll of this has caused us to come to the decision that him staying with us when he is not yet ready to move on from the love of his life, is simply unfair to all involved.’
'I wish Jack all the best for the future and hope that he manages to learn to deal with his grief and be happy finally,' the mother-of-one wrote.
Chanelle was criticized last month for her comments following Jack’s interview with a UK magazine in which he said that ‘no one could replace Jade’.
The glamour model, clearly upset by the interview wrote on Twitter:
'Absolutely f***ing sick of living up to a ghost and never coming close'
‘Absolutely f***ing sick of living up to a ghost and never coming close. What's the point in the last three years of my life then?!’
Following her rant, former best friend Chantelle branded Chanelle insensitive as she added:
'Jade's life so tragically cut short and she left behind two little boys. How could Chanelle be so insensitive, especially now she's a mother herself?’
