It’s the age old question that you’re bound to be asked at some point in January: “What is your New Year’s resolution?”

If you’ve got no clue how to answer, then we have some suggestions - inspired by your fave celebrities, natch.

Yes, these stars have – mostly – mastered the art of living their lives to the fullest. And you can too!

So if you’re thinking of making a few changes in 2017, here’s where to begin…

Quit a bad habit

Let’s get real: smoking is pretty gross. It’s also expensive – we can think of so many other things we’d like to spend our hard-earned money on.

So if you’re a slave to the habit, it might be time to make like Natasha Hamilton, 34, and give it up, once and for all.

The Atomic Kitten star recently explained that she’s done with cigs, after previously smoking up to 20 a day.

“I’ve been a smoking on and off for a number of years and whilst I have tried to quit in the past, like many smokers out there, I’ve found it tough,” she told Mail Online.

“I really want to succeed and I know I will. I want that healthy lifestyle, I want to have a good innings with my children – that’s a big part of it all.”

Good on you, Tash!

Get in shape

She’s had one of the most incredible body transformations ever, slimming down from a size 16 to a size ten in just four months.

And weight loss is at the top at many of our lists when it comes to the New Year. So just how has Scarlett Moffatt done it?

“I’d say I do HIT [High Intensity Training] about three times a week,” she told new! magazine recently.

On a fitness mission, Gogglebox star Scarlett, 26, recently tweeted: “Never ever thought I'd say this... I'm enjoying exercising!! Interval training is the way forward like #feelingcanny.”

The star is releasing an exercise DVD, Scarlett’s SuperSlim Me Plan, so that fans can emulate her impressive weight loss.

Find the love of your life

She’s never been the luckiest in love, but now former TOWIE star Ferne McCann is making dating a priority in 2017.

And why not? We all deserve to find happiness, after all.

Reportedly signing up for series two of E4 hit Celebs Go Dating, Ferne, 26, will be set up with a variety of flirty fellas to date.

“Ferne has kept her romances under wraps since she left TOWIE so TV execs are hoping for her to open up on camera,” an insider told the Daily Star.

But if you can’t afford the expertise of Lady Nadia Essex herself, you could always settle for Tinder?

Get yourself a new look

She made a triumphant return to The Only Way Is Essex not long ago, so it’s no wonder Lauren Goodger wanted to make a splash with a new look.

The reality star recently revealed she’d employed a stylist to create a fresh image upon her return to the series.

“I hired a stylist named Kitty last week to help me get some outfits together,” Lauren, 30, told new! magazine.

“I want a couple of different day and night looks, plus outfits for when I’m having a skinny or bloated day.”

Sounds fabulous, Lozza.

Follow your dreams

Life is short, so why not follow your dreams, whatever they may be?

That’s what Sam Faiers has decided to do, recently revealing that she is keen to up sticks with partner Paul Knightly and son baby Paul to move across the pond to live in Los Angeles.

And Sam, 25, hosted a super awks dinner with her family during a recent episode of ITVBe’s The Mummy Diaries to reveal the news.

“We're going to LA,” the former TOWIE star told her shocked guests, before insisting: “Far apart doesn’t mean anything, we’ll always be close no matter what.”

She later added: “You have to dream big, and follow your dreams but you’ve got to take the risk.”

Too right, Sam.

Choose happiness

She recently opened up about being diagnosed with depression, but now Fearne Cotton has come out the other side, and is willing to share her experience with the nation.

Releasing a book about how to find your inner zen, entitled Happy, TV and radio presenter Fearne, 35, is a shining example of someone who has developed a strategy to deal with the depression she has faced.

She told Glamour: “After a particularly tough patch I was diagnosed with depression.

“Although excruciating, this explosive yet short period of my life lead me to soul search in new ways I hadn't before.”

“I learned to embrace what I was going through, hold on for dear life and to find another way,” she continued.

Falling short of employing Fearne to make all our future decisions for us, it looks like this book could be the next best thing.

Write a diary

Penning a journal can be a cathartic experience, and who needs a bit of therapy more than Stephanie Davis?

The former Hollyoaks actress, who is due to give birth to her son very soon, has landed her own book deal, where she’ll get to relive all the hardships of the last few months.

“Steph had a hard time over the last couple of years but now she’s ready to give her side of the story,” an insider recently told The Sun Online.

“Now she’s pregnant, she ready to start anew once and for all and what better way to do it than with a book?”

The 23-year-old star is set to spill the beans on a variety of scandalous topics – including her tumultuous relationship with Irish model Jeremy McConnell, 27.

“Not only will she talk about her romance with Zayn [Malik], but she’s set to open up about her heartbreaking suicide attempt in more detail,” the source continued.

“And what we've all been waiting for - she finally lifts the lid on what really happened with Jez.”

Hopefully our diary won’t be as chock-a-block with drama as our Steph’s.

Step out of your comfort zone

She’s been busy being a full-time housewife and mummy since she left the cobbled streets of Corrie five years ago, but now Helen Flanagan is heading back to work, returning to the soap that made her famous.

The star is mum to 18-month-old daughter Matilda with footballer partner Scott Sinclair, 27.

Helen, who has played ditsy Rosie Webster in the soap since she was ten years old, said: “I’m so excited to be returning to Coronation Street and being part of the Webster family again.”

Prioritising her responsibilities as a mum before agreeing to reprise her role on the show, Helen was keen to make sure her schedule wouldn’t mean spending too much time away from her daughter.

Speaking publicly before agreeing to her TV return, Helen, 26, explained: “I would absolutely love to go back to Coronation Street one day but it would have to work around Matilda.”

We’re glad Corrie bosses made it happen!

Spend less time on social media

Let's be honest, we wouldn't usually look to Justin Bieber for lifestyle tips, but when it comes to social media, we think the 22-year-old crooner might be onto something.

Back in August, Justin decided to delete his Instagram account, losing his nearly 78 million followers in the process. Ouch.

But he recently explained why he’s still happy with his decision to ditch the social network.

“I don’t want to get my Instagram back,” He told fans at a recent concert. “Instagram is for the devil. I think hell is Instagram, I’m, like, 90 per cent sure.”

While we think we can all agree that's a bit extreme, cutting back on the time we spend staring at our phones, feeling envious of other people's lives would probably be a good thing...

Sort out your finances

She was threatened with bankruptcy after allegedly failing to pay a whopping £77,6000 in rent on the London pad she was living in with then-fiancé Egor Tarabasov.

But according to The Mirror, Lindsay Lohan recently stepped up to her responsibilities and paid off the debt before legal action was taken. Phew!

Reports later claimed Linds, 30, had moved into the swanky £400-a-night five-star Blakes Hotel nearby. Some things never change, eh?
