Well, we never thought we'd see the day. Is Gemma Collins heading back to the jungle for the new series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here?
The TOWIE starlet originally took part in the ITV show in 2014 but sensationally left the celebrity camp in Australia after just three days.
Little was known at the time about why she decided to leave after such a short space of time but last week Gemma revealed there was more to the story than met the eye.
The Essex girl claimed the night before she was due to fly to Australia that year, her then boyfriend Alex Moss, assaulted her.
Speaking to The Sun Online she said: “I was severely beaten up by my partner the night before I went into the jungle.
“I'm lucky to be alive. He beat me to within an inch of my life.”
Gemma says that ITV bosses encouraged not to take part in the programme but she felt compelled to try and carry on.
She explalined: “When I went in there I was really badly beaten from my neck down.
“ITV didn't want me doing it but because they'd given me such a huge opportunity, how could I not do it?"
But now it seems Gemma is ready to face the jungle once more and according to The Sun Online is in negotiations about a second stint, with host Declan Donnelly even backing the idea.
A source told the website: "Gemma has been backed by Dec, he thought she was really good [last time she was on] and he told Gemma she would be great if she came back to the show.
"She's riding on the crest of a wave right now - she's doing well on Towie, she massive on social media after all the memes and and everyone is a bit obsessed with her.
"She in talks to sign up but it's early days. Nothing is set in stone yet."
The source added: "Gemma really wants a chance to prove herself and set the record straight."
