Stephanie, 22, has faced huge backlash over her 'romance' with Jeremy McConnell in the house – with boyfriend Sam Reece waiting for her on the outside.

Now Sam, who shot to fame on Channel 4’s First Dates, has hit back at the controversial allegations made by Chelsey Harwood, insisting he’s never even met the former This Is Liverpool star.

Taking to Twitter, Chelsey wrote: “I’m not a huge fan of cheats but also not of men who hit women @SamReece have you or have you not hit @Stephdavis77 before #womanbeater [sic].”

But a rep for Sam has dismissed the claims. They told the Mirror: “He denies ever hitting Stephanie. He had not seen the tweet by Chelsey and says he does not know her.”

A source alleged to the publication that Sam is quick to get jealous and possessive, especially when Steph is approached by male fans.

“Her friends are fully aware of how controlling he is,” the source claimed. “When he’s had a drink he’s unbelievable, he’s really aggressive.

Sam has suggested he will end his relationship with Steph once she leaves the house

“If she’s at the bar and someone goes to speak to her he’s like, ‘Who’s that? Get f**king over here’. He kicks off and screams at her.”

Last week Sam suggested he’s planning on ending his relationship with Steph due to her friendship with Irish hunk Jeremy – although he's since insisted he would never dump her over social media.

He tweeted: “Hi everyone, I will no longer be supporting Stephanie Davis… Thanks for all your support and love you have given me!! [sic].”

Shortly before she entered the CBB house, Steph gushed over Sam and insisted she was doing the show for both of them.

She said: “I love him to bits, he’s been my rock. But people go to war, and don’t see their family for six months, and don’t have a clue what they’re up to. At least he can see me on TV – I know he’s going to be there at the other side of the door. People go through a lot worse.

“I’m doing this for us – we’ve got an exciting year coming up together. He desperately just wants people to see why he loves me.”
