Jeremy McConnell was booted out of the Celebrity Big Brother house last night and it seems he’s got a lot of questions to answer. Most have been, and will be, geared around his relationship with Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis – who is dating model Sam Reece.
For weeks we’ve watched as Jeremy and Stephanie flirted, kissed and even slept together in the house. All while Steph’s boyfriend waits on the outside. Awkward? We think this is just the start.
After leaving the show, Jeremy sat down to speak with CBB host Emma Willis about his relationship with Stephanie and revealed he would be “absolutely gutted” if the same thing had happened to him. But Jeremy insisted it was real love.
“I meant everything I said to her,” he said. “It's how we felt about each other. I like to think I'm a respectable lad and I can understand what her fella is going. I know [I should've left it]. I can't explain how I feel inside. It's what I felt and I went with it.
“I hold my hand up, it was both of us. It's a really tough situation. It's terrible. It's just the way it is.”
Emma tried to lighten the mood, telling Jeremy: “Don't worry Sam isn't here - which I'm sure you're glad to hear. We haven't been able to make contact with him.”
But what’s going to happen between Jeremy and Stephanie in the future? It sounds a bit bleak, if we're being honest.
“I don't know [what will happen],” he said. “We'll see what happens. She needs breathing space, I need my time. If it's meant to be... She still needs time to be single.”
Erm, we think Steph’s pretty keen on you, Jeremy. But she’s got to come out and face to the music first. Expect fireworks...
