Happy news for Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett as she announced that she has become mother to a baby girl.
Cate, 45, and husband Andrew, 49, have adopted a baby girl.
Their rep told Us Weekly: "The Upton family (Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton) have adopted a baby girl. No further details will be provided."
The baby is the couple’s fourth child. Cate and playwright Andrew are already parents to three sons Dashiell, 13, Roman, 10 and Ignatius, 6.
Australian-born Cate and Andrew married back in 1997, making their marriage one of the longest and strongest in Hollywood.
Cate won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in Blue Jasmine last year, but has gained tremendous respect as an actress throughout her career.
Congratulations, Cate and family!
