Early Life

Born on October 23rd, 1976, Cat grew up in Sutton Coldfield and Great Barr near Birmingham.

Attending Grove Vale Junior and Dartmouth High, schoolgirl Cat was striking and musical - entering a competition via The Clothes Show at age 14 to be a model.

By 16 she was signed to Storm modelling agency, where her nickname Cat was used to make her easier to distinguish from other girls.

Big Break

During her teens and early twenties, Cat worked full time as a fashion model, with her long, lean figure and gorgeous blonde hair making her a popular addition to any campaign.

In ’97 however, Deeley left modelling to pursue presenting - where her career really took off.

Along with close friend Edith Bowman, Cat presented Hitlist UK, and also joined SMTV live in 1998 alongside Ant & Dec.

Off the back of this, Cat presented CD: UK, The Brit Awards, Fame Academy and many more - becoming one of the most well known and well liked presenters on the box.

And after forging a name for herself in the UK for over a decade, Cat skipped across the pond to LA in 2012 to pursue American projects.

She is most known in the US for presenting talent show So You Think You Can Dance, where she has so far been going strong for eight seasons.

Love & Relationships

Striking Cat has never been short of admirers, and between 2001 and 2006 she dated businessman Mark Whelan.

After this relationship broke down, Cat dated actor Mark Huston for two years, before that broke down in 2010.

And then, the amazing happened.

In 2012, Cat stepped out with long term friend Patrick Kielty, a comedian who she has been pals with since they presented Fame Academy a decade before.

The Irish comedian apparently wooed pal Cat when he flew out to LA for her birthday as a surprise, picking up the bill for her and her friends to boot.

Speaking of the moment, Cat said: “That's quite possibly the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me. And he was just sitting there hanging out with 12 of my friends, making everybody laugh. It was romantic, noble, kind of amazing and pretty hard not to fall in love with him.”

Marrying in 2012 in Rome, Cat and Patrick have fast become one of the showbiz world’s cutest couples - managing to keep a long distance relationship going as they are divided for work.

But despite loving LA life, Cat said that her flat in Hampstead will always be home.

And there was more happy news for Patrick and Cat when, in September 2015, they announced they were expecting their first baby together.

Cat also enjoys fashion (how could she not with those pins!), good books and working with UNICEF - who she is an ambassador for.
