"Summer is finally upon us - HOORAY! Time to get bikinis and shades out and get that glowing tan. Time for holidays and cocktails, I bloody love summer. But summer is also the time when we wear next to nothing and we all want our bodies to look fab.
I was able to have dinner and a catch up with my bezzie, Vicky Pattison, recently. She's been so busy filming for her new show 'Judge Geordie' (which I can’t wait to see) that we haven't been able to see each other much, so it was lovely to catch up.
We also managed to plan some holiday fun. We are going to Ibiza together this summer.
Getting summer body ready
I have been focusing on getting a bikini body from as far back as January.
Thinking you can do a quick, intense two-week course at the gym is not going to get you where you want, as much as it's painful for me to say (because I would love a two week turnaround).
Meeting your body goals takes hard work, sweat and determination. I'm only starting to see the results, but I'm absolutely loving it. Don't ever give up.
As the saying goes… it takes four weeks for you to see your body changing, it takes eight weeks for your friends and family to notice, and 12 weeks for the rest of the world - keep going.
Casey the social butterfly
I’ve been out and about at events a lot lately and it’s great to catch up with everyone. We had the Style For Stroke event the other week. Such a great charity to raise awareness for people who have had strokes. It’s shocking to think that very young people have strokes, as well as the older generation. The lovely Denise Van Outen and beautiful Jess Wright were also there, so was a very glamorous affair.
Coming off the pill
I came off the pill about a year ago - not to get pregnant. We all know my luck with guys… bloody disastrous! I came off the pill because I had been on it for so many years I feel my body needed a break.
Anyway, coming off the pill completely broke my skin out in acne, it’s been horrible. Especially going to events and being pictured, I was constantly self-conscious and was really getting me down.
After trying lots of different skin regimes and hoping it would go away, which it didn't, I finally booked myself in with a skin specialist doctor.
They have been wonderful. I received skin peels (but nothing too harsh) and medicated products- now my skin is finally getting better. They are amazing; I would highly recommend them to anyone with skin issues.
Reuniting with Lee
Speaking of my luck with men, Lee Ryan and I were papped together recently! We were both at Lizzie Cundy’s birthday. His Mum was there too and we had a little boogie together on the dance floor, such a lovely lady.
Lee and I had a catch up. Don’t hate me for it, but it was lovely to see him. Being in the CBB house together will always give us that connection and closeness, but we will never be more than just friends. If things didn't turn out the way they did in the house, we might have even still been together now.
Single and ready to mingle
I have been in the dating scene… but nothing to report home as of yet. I don’t want to jinx it. I have been told I wear my heart on my sleeve when I should play it cool. That’s really hard for me as I have a habit of saying what I think.
Celebrity Big Brother gossip
The summer series of Big Brother has started, which means that the Celebrity Big Brother is on the way, and rumours of who is going in has already started. The Americans always bring the drama (think Perez Hilton), and, this year, Lindsay Lohan's mum, Dina, is rumoured to be going in. Let’s just hope that Dina is as out there as her daughter!
Other Americans rumoured are Janice Dickinson, who will definitely cause a sitr and have a few diva moments, and Farrah Abraham, from Teen Mom, who is also quite a controversial character.
I know the timing wasn't right for Gemma Collins in the Jungle, but I think she would great at CBB; she is straight talking and doesn't take crap off anyone. I really like Gemma and would love for her to go in the house - she is always great TV.
