Caroline Flack and Olly Murs have been dogged by romance rumours ever since they first began presenting The Xtra Factor together.
Rumours which were only further fuelled when Caroline said: "We're not girlfriend and boyfriend, yet we're not totally platonic either."
And it seems as if, in recent months, the pair have become closer than ever.
Speaking to ITV’s Lorraine, Caroline said: “We’ve always got on really well, but for some reason I didn’t think it was possible to get any closer.
“But this series we’ve become so close.”
She added: “We’ve kind of had to stick by each other and we are just friends…
“But there’s this innate understanding between us which I’ve never had with anyone.”

But, after a shaky season as first-time presenters of The X Factor’s main show, it seems as if the dynamic duo’s future on the show is in doubt.
So, when asked whether her and Olly would want to come back for the next series, Caroline said: “Oh absolutely!
“I mean, we don’t know yet.”
She added: “Do you know what? I just want to finish on a high. That’s what we want to do.
"We’ve got this weekend to really finish on that high note and finish going, ‘we did the best job we could’ and that’s the aim at the minute.”
