Since joining the X Factor earlier this year, Caroline Flack and co-host Olly Murs haven’t exactly had the smoothest ride.

After appearing on last night’s results show, the 36-year-old was slated by viewers for her outfit and her weight.

Caroline took to Twitter, venting: "It's very easy to take a shot at someone online. The vile comments about my weight and just all round look tonight are quite shocking.

"Have never said I'm the prettiest or thinnest or even anything special. But thank God I'm not horrible. Cool attitudes."

Caroline and Olly have been criticised throughout the new series and reports started circulating last week that her co-host may be getting the X Factor sack.

During last week’s results show Olly, 31, accidentally revealed that contestant Monica Michael would be leaving the show before judges had even reached deadlock.
