We LOVE Carol Vorderman so we've rounded up 9 life lessons we feel everyone can learn from her - whatever age you are.
From Countdown to last night's I'm a Celebrity, we always love watching Carol, espcially since she just gets BETTER with age: like a fine wine, Carol's journey from brainy bit of skirt to fully-trained solo round-the-world pilot just continues to improve.
Now 55-years-old, Carol constantly proves that you shouldn't give up on your dreams - or ever say never. She once ran naked on a treadmill and she's a prime example of age being just that, a number.
So here are 9 reasons we love Carol's IDGAF approach to life...
1. Is Carol Vorderman single?
Yes she is and she's fabulous!
Earlier this year she split from her partner of four years but remained positive, admitting: "I'm happily single, freely independent and doing my own thing.
"The best thing about being single is being able to do what you want. If I want a lie in, I will.
"Or I'll go to see a friend, without having to check in with anyone."
2. Carol Vorderman dyed her hair blonde
After being in Countdown for a whopping 26 years (yes, 26) she resigned from the show and had a makeover; she dyed her hair from brunette to platinum blonde and showed us all she has a wicked sense of humour.
She then went on to host the Pride of Britain Awards every year as she presents real life stories of bravery and determination which touch us all deeply.
When asked by Lorraine why she dyed her hair she replied: "I've got very low boredom threshold... What's the worst that could happen?"
She then joked: "Blondes do have a lot more offers of fun."
3. Carol Vorderman is a flyer and a fighter
If you didn't like Carol before, you will after hearing how determined she is - she had a dream about being a pilot and then went off and learned how to become one!
She opened up and confessed: "My life's dream has been to be a pilot. I fought to get to Cambridge University as a comprehensive kid on free school meals in the 1970s.
"I was the first child from my town to get there. My drive was always because I wanted to be a pilot but the RAF wouldn't train women as pilots back then and we were a poor family so flying lessons were out of the question and my dream was put on hold."
4. Move over the Kardashians, Carol Vorderman has a GREAT bum
Carol isn't just famous for appearing on Countdown, she won Rear of the Year in 2011 and 2014 and even admitted that she can balance pints of beer on her bum – that's a good party trick.
Carol has admitted that as she's grown older she feels more confident: "I think that's the same for many women my age. I'm not saying we look better than we did but when you've ticked the parenting box you have more time for yourself."
5. Carol Vorderman is a team player
Carol quit hosting Countdown after her co-star Des O'Connor resigned from the show. Carol's manager revealed she didn’t think she could go through the process of bonding with another presenter.
And of course, on I'm A Celeb she completed her Bushtucker trial like a champ. Unlike past campmates like Sinitta, Gillian McKeith, Helen Flanagan and Gemma Collins who make us cry with laughter but were awful at actually completing the trials – Carol took trial after trial for the team.
In her first Bushtucker trial, she ate two turkey testicles, a sheep's brain, ostrich's anus and vomit fruit. She may have stopped before she got to the LIVE scorpion, but to be fair, we don't blame her: it did pinch her hand.
6. Carol Vorderman is a total party animal
We don't only love Carol for her personality, her brains and her amazing body, we also love that she's a party animal. She's previously confessed: "I'm a party girl. I love champagne and wine, not spirits really. My hangover cure is sleeping in, if I can, and a bacon butty."
Yaaaaaas, Carol! We'd LOVE to come over for some drinks! Just ask, anytime!
7. Carol Vorderman's sense of humour
Carol has made us laugh while she's been in the Jungle but before that we could tell she had a funny sense of humour in a few Countdown bloopers:
8. Carol Vorderman and maths...
Carol was a part of the Nines Club at Cambridge Undersity (she graduated with a third) but that didn't stop her because she was on Countdown for 26 years and she's inspired thousands of girls to get into maths.
On I'm A Celeb, she was fascinated with Joel Dommett's pi tattoo, which spells out the numbers of pi: 3.14159... could Carol go on? Of COURSE she could!
9. Carol Vorderman is about the YOLO life...
Her reason for going on I'm A Celeb seems to have been a policy for never saying never: "It's all an adventure now. I just think, how many times do you get a chance to do something like that?" Well, quite!
All in all, we're big fans of Carol Vorderman, and she's taught us not care what everyone else is doing, and focus on ourselves, and that women CAN and DO get better with age!
