Martin Frizzell has taken over as boss of the ITV show, after viewing figures for the programme plummeted. Frizzell is reportedly unhappy with the current line up of Vorderman, Myleene Klass, Coleen Nolan and Sherrie Hewson.
But original members Kaye Adams and Jane Moore, who were there when the show launched, are said to be safe.
A source told the Sunday People: 'Martin knows there are lots of good female television presenters out there and there is talent he wants to bring in. He has some big ideas of who he wants and of course there will be many current Loose Women staff who don't fit the bill.'
The source continued: 'The plan is to take the show back to how it was when it launched in 1999. It was about intelligent debate with a panel of sassy, smart women with very strong opinions. It will become far more newsy and a little bit like an all-woman Question Time.'
Carol Vorderman, 53, has been the anchor on Loose Women since she joined in 2011. Previous to this she was famous for co-presenting Countdown, and is a former Closer columnist.
