It’s been a tough year for the hard-mouthed panellist, taking time out from television to focus on beating cancer.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer, the former Loose Women host underwent a mastectomy in 2014. As a part of her cancer treatment, Carol has also underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and luckily got the all clear in September 2015.
But since the surgery and treatment, naturally Carol has had to adapt to a new her, as her body, skin and hair were all affected by the experience, too.
And now the 56-year-old has debuted a new look in celebration of her health, embarking on a playful photoshoot with Bellamagazine.
Confident Carol laughed away posing in a series of wigs, including this stunning long-haired brunette number. Even know we loved her post-chemo pixie crop, we can’t get enough of all these fun different looks!
Isn’t that a girl’s prerogative?
Speaking to Bella, Carol explained:
"I've had [Botox] done because I still really want to have a facelift, but I'll do anything I can to avoid it. I think it's insane to volunteer for surgery - proper cutting-up-your-face surgery.
"I just want to try and look my best. I don't make enough effort. I look like an old tramp.
"I've had two sessions now and I think I'll just have it done little and often. Once you start, you've got to keep it up. It's addictive. I keep thinking, 'I could just have a little bit more there, a little bit more there, a little bit more there.'
"I've got to be careful not to go too far. I won't go too far."
Carol is also set to go under the knife once again, as she is planning reconstructive surgery in the near future.
Previously, the TV personality spoke to Closer magazine about her illness in her first interview since she began treatment, showing off her then-new short and stylish hair ‘do to the world.
She told us: “For me, it seemed the natural thing to do because when big chunks of your hair come out, it looks scary,’
And speaking of her journey through the illness, the defiant Carol said:
“I never thought about it in those terms [a battle]. Yes, it can become a fight if you think you might lose it, but, for me, it was always about getting better.
“Although of course it wasn’t pleasant.”
We’ve got to say – we truly admire your positive attitude, Carol!
Showing just how much she’s determined not to let this experience define her life, she recently jetting off on holiday to soak up the sun in Phuket, Thailand, and flaunted her new figure with sheer sass and confidence.
She tweeted: "Look at me getting on the Champers @DreamHKT Beach Club! See, us mastectomy girls can still do bikinis! @cassola21"
Totally inspiring- and we think you look amazing!
