She was given the best Valentine’s Day present in form of her rainbow baby, and Cara Kilbey couldn’t resist sharing an adorable snap on Instagram.
Cara, 26, and partner Daniel Harris welcomed baby girl Penelope last week, five days after her due date – and they spent the weekend getting to know the latest addition to their family.
Posting a black and white photo of Daniel cradling his daughter, the former TOWIE star gushed: “Happy Valentine’s Day to My Two Loves. Thank you for giving me the greatest gift of all. I love you with all my heart [sic].”
On Friday Cara’s brother Tom confirmed the family’s happy news, and she followed up with a sweet picture of Penelope grabbing her finger.
She wrote: “Welcome to World… Penelope Blu Harris. 12.02.16 9lb20z [sic].”
Cara previously revealed she hoped Penelope would come on Valentine’s Day, and opened up about her and Daniel’s heartbreaking loss last year.
Writing in her exclusive Closer Online blog, Cara explained: “For me there was no future – everything we had dreamt about in the past five months had been shattered. We were no longer becoming the parents we were talking about, but becoming the parents of a baby we had loved and lost.
“The most amazing feeling was finding out we had fallen pregnant again nine weeks after our tragedy; everything had just fallen back into place for us so soon.”
Cara added: “I secretly hope the baby will be born seven days late so we have a Valentine’s baby… Now that would be romantic!”
