The former Olympian admitted earlier in 2015 that he had longed to be a woman for much of his adult life, coming clean to his family in a Keeping Up With The Kardashians special.

And now a source has confirmed that the 65-year-old underwent full gender reassignment three weeks ago, in a gruelling operation that took over eight hours.

"The procedure involved shaping Bruce's male genitalia into that of a woman's," a source told Radar.

"He was very happy with the results but didn't realise how gruelling the recovery would be."

And while Jenner's kids say they've never seen him so happy, the star is being forced to keep his new look under wraps due to 'contractual obligations.'

A docuseries focusing on Bruce's transition is set to air in the US in July, so it seems he'll have to hide his new look until that time, meaning another couple of months of living a hidden existence.

Bruce and the Kardashians received a great deal of praise for bringing transgender issues into the mainstream.
