Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born on September 4, 1981, to parents Matthew and Tina Knowles in Houston Texas.

Beyonce has one sister, Solange Knowles.

Kim Kardashian has an older sister Kourtney, 35, younger sister Khloe, 30 and younger brother Rob, 27. Kim Kardashian’s parents split in 1991 and Kim’s mother then married Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner.

Several years after a brief separation in 1995, Beyonce’s parents split in 2011 following reports that her father Matthew Knowles, had had an affair and fathered a child with his ‘mistress’.

Kim Kardashian attended a Roman Catholic high school in LA, but her home life was put under pressure when her father acted as OJ Simpson’s defence lawyer in one of the most high profile murder trials in history. Kim’s father tragically passed away from cancer in 2003.

Beyonce’s started dating her first boyfriend Lyndall Locke at the age of 13 after meeting him at a youth church. The romance was sadly not meant to be and the couple split when Lyndall grew tired of Beyonce travelling for work.

Kim Kardashian dated throughout high school but shockingly eloped to Las Vegas with boyfriend, musical producer Damon Thomas. The pair filed for divorce in 2003, with Kim claiming that the split came about due to suffering emotional and physical abuse.

Following phenomenal success with girl band Destiny’s Child, Beyonce embarked on a solo career in 2002. She also started dating rapper and hip hop mogul Jay Z.

Following her divorce from Damon Thomas, Kim Kardashian struck up a friendship with socialite Paris Hilton and even worked for her as a stylist and personal assistant. She also started dating singer Ray J.

Beyonce’s solo career started taking off following the release of her debut album Dangerously In Love in 2003. This was subsequently followed by the release of her sophomore solo album B’Day in 2006. She performed at the Superbowl in 2004 and won countless awards. She was eventually gifted with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2006.

Following the demise of her relationship with ex-boyfriend Ray J, a sex tape featuring Kim and her famous ex was leaked. It was picked up adult film company Vivid Entertainment who distributed the film as Kim K Superstar. Kim tried to sue the company for selling the film under her name, but eventually dropped the case and settled out of court for $5 million.

After six years of dating, Beyonce married Jay Z in 2008 in a private ceremony surrounded by close family and friends.

In 2011 Beyonce fell pregnant with her first child. It came after a year of professional highs, including another smash hit album, performing for the newly elected President Barack Obama and headlining the main stage at world famous Glastonbury festival.

Kim Kardashian married footballer Kris Humphries in 2011 after a short romance, but filed for divorce just 72 days later.

Beyonce gave birth to her first daughter with husband Jay Z on January 7, 2012. She later revealed that she had tragically suffered a miscarriage prior to conceiving Blue Ivy, which husband Jay Z also referred to in a rap dedicated to his newborn daughter.

Kim joined Kanye, Jay and Beyonce when the rappers performed tracks from their collaborative album Watch The Throne at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Hackney. Beyonce and Kim were seen holding hands as they watched their other halves perform.

Kim revealed she was expecting Kanye’s baby late in 2012 after discovering the shock pregnancy in Miami whilst filming her reality show.

Beyonce released a documentary in 2013 which revealed a rare personal window into her life. She discussed her tragic miscarriage and her joy at becoming a mother to daughter Blue Ivy.

In the summer of 2013, Kim gave birth to her and Kanye’s first child, a daughter named North West. Just months later Kanye proposed to Kim during a baseball match in San Francisco.

Beyonce broke records when she released her self-titled fifth album despite the album having no publicity prior to its release. Along with the audio, Beyonce released a video for each track on the album. She soon embarked on a hugely successful world tour off the back of the album.

Kim started making wedding plans in 2014, but soon sparked debate when she appeared on the cover of American Vogue in April. Some critics blasted the decision, saying that she had not earned the appropriate credentials to appear on the cover of such an influential fashion magazine.

Rumours started spreading about Beyonce and Jay Z’s marriage after footage was leaked showing Bey’s sister Solange attacking her brother-in-law in an elevator.

Kim and Kanye got married in May 2014 in Florence, Italy. The opulent wedding ceremony was well documented by the couple via their Instagram pages and the lead up to the wedding was heavily featured in Kim’s reality show.

As Beyonce and Jay Z embarked on their joint ‘On The Run’ tour, rumours continued to swirl regarding the state of their marriage, with one report suggesting that the couple would divorce once the tour was over.

Following her wedding to Kanye West, Kim was reportedly ‘obsessed’ with achieving the ‘perfect body’. She won UK GQ’s ‘Woman Of The Year’ in September 2014, where she unveiled a provocative nude spread in the magazine.

Beyonce hit a career peak at the 2014 MTV VMAs where she won the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. She was presented with the moon man statuette following a legendary performance, which had viewers in awe all over the world.

As reports suggested Kim Kardashian was already pregnant with her and Kanye’s second child, Kim addressed the rumours by telling a journalist that it was ‘in God’s hands’ if she had another child or not. The star has made it no secret that she would like another child, and she explained on her reality show that a psychic told her she could be pregnant ‘any day now’.

Following her divorce from Kris Humphries, Kim started dating rapper Kanye West, who is also good friends with Beyonce’s husband Jay Z.

In 2008, the first episode of Kim Kardashian’s reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired. The show was created off the back of Kim’s sex tape scandal, which provided a backdrop to the first season. Kim’s family also became household names thanks to the E! reality show.

Kim also has half siblings. She is very close to half-sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner through her mother’s relationship with Bruce Jenner.
