Britney Spears ‘to be locked in conservatorship for the rest of her life’

She's spent the last seven years under personal and financial conservatorship – and it's been reported that Britney Spears' father Jamie will look after her affairs for the rest of her life.

Following her very public breakdown in 2007, the 33-year-old was placed in psychiatric medial care and it's thought that there are no plans to give Britney full control over her estate anytime soon.

A source told Us Weekly: "There is no reason to break the conservatorship with everything working so well.

"Everything is working perfectly under this arrangement and it will stay that way."

It's claimed that, while Jamie makes all the big decisions regarding Britney's money and estate, she still has 'substantial day-to-day freedom'.

In 2007, following a stressful custody battle over sons Sean Preston, nine, and Jayden James, eight, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Britney was filmed shaving her head, before attacking photographers with an umbrella.

US gossip site TMZ reports that superstar Britney is happy for the arrangement with her father to continue.

Britney, who shot to fame when she was just 16, has an estimated net worth of $200 million, and Forbes reported that she earned $31 million in the last year alone.
