An Indian man slapped Bollywood actress Gauhar Khan during the shooting of India’s Raw Star in Mumbai, because her ‘dress was too short.’
Police arrested Mohammad Akil Malik, 24, who sat in the audience of the show’s final episode on Sunday.
They quoted Malik as telling Khan that "being a Muslim woman, she should not have worn such a short dress".

During a break from recording, V.S Chavan, a local police official said Malik tried to “manhandle” Khan while he asked her why she was wearing a short dress.
According to a source of The Hindustan Times, it was said: "A preliminary probe has revealed that someone from the audience started teasing Khan to which she protested.
“An argument ensued between Gauhar and the man who was teasing her. Things turned ugly when the man suddenly slapped the actor."
Private security men at the venue overpowered Malik, who works as a driver, and handed him over to the police.
According to reports police have registered a case of ‘assaulting a woman’ against Malik.

Khan has acted in several films and is most known for her role in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.
She won Bigg Boss, the Indian version of reality TV show Big Brother, last year.
