The TOWIE star, 27, is urging people to register to take a test and see if they are a match for his mother Kym in order to save her from the disease.

He explained that Kym was struck down quickly with Leukaemia. After feeling ill she underwent some tests at the doctors and received the shattering news.

Appearing on Tuesday's This Morning, Bobby said: "I saw her briefly yesterday. She's not been allowed home because she can't fight off infections… her immune system is really low.

"I just go in there and spend an many hours as I can during visiting hours, but it never feels like enough. You just feel so helpless."

Bobby admitted he is understandably finding his mum's illness hard to cope with, saying: "I don't know how it has become real so fast. I feel like it's flipped my world upside down… and my way of thinking is quite different now."

As well as seeing things differently, Bobby advised others that they should not take their mothers for granted as you never know what is around the corner.

He continued: "I see people taking things for granted with their mums, I want to do those little things [with my mum] that I took for granted for 27 years. It's the little things you do miss when someone isn't there."
