Blonde Electra bring incest to The X Factor final

The final 16 X Factor contestants returned to perform for the final show and sisters, Blonde Electra, caused a bit of controversy on stage with an incestuous kiss.

Jazzy and Ruby King, who were the first act to exit the ITV show, decided to lock lips during their segment of their return group performance.

While some viewers accused producers of using incest to keep the ratings up, creative director Brian Friedman insisted the kiss hadn’t been approved beforehand.

Speaking on The Xtra Factor, Brian said: “It was something they wanted to do back on the show if they were to make it to the second week of lives.

“We didn’t know it was going to happen tonight, they threw it in there, you know, it’s who they are, a bit controversial.

“I was a little bit surprised that it happened.”

The girls had reportedly been keen to kiss on stage if they had made it through to the second week of live shows, but after their premature exit decided to make the most of their X Factor return. Twitter users took to the social media site to express their feelings of disgust.

Made in Chelsea's Fran Newman-Young appeared to be particularly unimpressed as she tweeted: “Well that sibling kiss was weird... I wonder if there will be any more desperate publicity stunts this eve.”

Actress Tracy Ann Oberman wrote on the micro-blogging site: “While family on the bed watching #XFactorFInal even the dog looked up and snorted at the Blonde Electra kiss #awkward.”
