A mum in Scotland decided to have a professional baker make her daughter a personalised birthday cake for her daughter, and texted her design specifications.

Moira from Lanarkshire text the baker: “Plain white with white balls dotted with a grey ribbon and bow (I can buy them if you want save time). Would you be able to put a wee blind girl in top if not it’s fine.”

The cake designer read the specifications and catered to every detail, including the added ‘BLIND girl’ on top of the cake.

The birthday girl’s sister Emily tweeted a photo of the cake ‘fail’, writing: “My mum ordered a cake for my sisters bd n asked for a blond girl on top but it autcorrected to blind n we got this(sic).”

The cake, ornately decorated with delicate pearls and a black ribbon, was topped with a little girl.

Rather than having blonde hair, the little girl had dark hair but had her eyes shut and was holding a cane.

Facepalm

Emily told BuzzFeed News: “My mum’s friend baked the cake and my mum at last minute texted her to ask for a blonde girl on top.

“The text must have autocorrected to ‘blind girl’ and when my mum went to collect it she was wondering why it wasn’t blonde. They then realised what had happened after checking the text and decided to leave it on as was funny.

Hope no one is offended.”
