The Dancing with the Stars winner has been forced to deny rumours that she and Chandler Powell are planning to marry, despite the star being just 17.

A representative from Australia Zoo, which Bindi’s family own and work at, told the Daily Mail Australia: ‘It’s not true. There’s been no proposal.’

Bindi has been competing in the US for the Dancing with the Stars title, but reps from the zoo say she is landing in Australia this week to celebrate her brother Robert’s 12th birthday.

However magazine New Idea claims an insider told them the pair are ‘madly in love and can’t wait to make things official.’

The insider claims the couple plan to elope to Oregon, in the US, so that the couple can wed.

Oregon state allows 17 year olds to wed, and it is also incidentally the home town of Bindi’s mum Terri. Not only this, but it was where her beloved father Steve Irwin and mother Terri married back in 1992, going on to have two children together before Irwin’s untimely death in 2006.
