Laurence Fox, ex-husband of Billie Piper, attempted to put rumours to bed that his music was based on his failed marriage during his appearance at the Isle Of Wight festival on Friday evening... but the reference he made is so bizzare, we're not sure we're totally convinced.
Trying to put fans straight, he confessed to the audience that "Some of you may know I lost my pet hamster recently. It's a very emotional time" before going on to say that "all these songs are about my old hamster. I miss him terribly".
But people soon speculated whether his hamster reference was actually Laurence referring to the heartbreak he had felt after splitting from ex-wife, Billie, when he said "Losing hamsters is hideous. It's very bad because the cage all needs to be rearranged - the kids".
Laurence is best known for starring in the ITV drama Lewis, but recently released his debut album along with gig dates.
Laurence and Billie share two children together, aged 4 and 7 - and he revealed that one of his songs "The Best Mistake" is dedicated to them.
We wonder how well the hamster reference went down with Billie?!
