Last year’s Big Brother winner has revealed that she nearly died after being struck by lightening.

The reality star was walking her dog when she was hit by a bolt of lightening.

Luckily, the 27-year-old lived through the freak incident to tell the tale.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: I just completely froze when the lightening hit me.”

"I was on the phone to a friend. I felt the electric it shock go through my skull down past my right eye and then out my jaw.

"It was so powerful. I screamed then ran to the car. I had a bad headache and felt really dizzy but I don't know whether that was jus the shock. I was in the middle of nowhere and terrified."

An ambulance took Helen to hospital, where a doctor told her that her rubber wellies helped save her life.

She wrote on her Twitter page: "Thanks to my @HunterBoots I'm alive today"

"Got struck by lightening, the doctor said 'you would never have survived without them' Amen."

Helen won last year’s Big Brother, despite being accused of bullying other housemates.

She shot to fame after she was linked to Wayne Rooney in a shocking cheating scandal.

The mum-of-one also hit the headlines last year after the premiership footballer appeared to ‘favourite’ a tweet about her, though he was alleged to have been hacked.
