Ex-West End and Coronation Street star Rachael Wooding stopped everyone in their tracks on last night's Britain's Got Talent as she delivered a sensational version of With You from Ghost The Musical.
The 37-year-old revealed that she had taken some time away from showbusiness to have a child, which she claims had damaged her nerves - stating "I'm still the same person, but I'm not".
But some viewers took to Twitter to debate about whether she should have been allowed to appear on the show, despite Rachael stating that "I want to perform as me, not you as an actress but you as a person. I want them to like me".
One tweeted: "Rachel was brilliant on #BGT But i don't want her to win it as she's already famous in her own right on the west end stage she don't need it," one posted, and another added: 'This Rachel on #BritainsGotTalent is a pro actress. Of course she's going to be good. Not what the show is about".
However, Gogglebox favourite Scarlett Moffat tweeted in support of Rachael, saying: "So Rachael wooding has just won britans got talent!! Hands down best singing audition in the 10 years #BGT has been on!! WOW".
But despite having suffered with nerve issues following the birth of her now 11-month-old daughter, Rachael still managed to deliver and mind blowing performance, which left the judges in awe of her talent.
Alesha Dixon said "You took us to the place we all want to go to when we hear music" and David Walliams described the performance as "faultless".
Simon Cowell also stated that it was "most beautiful version of this song I've ever heard".
Rachael's last stage performance was as part of the We Will Rock You cast when she played Meat and Scaracmouche until she got pregnant in 2014.
