Protests took place all over the country to seek justice for the unarmed teenager, who died after being shot by Zimmerman in February.
The power couple were joined by civil rights activist Reverend Al Sharpton, who headed the rally, and Martin’s mother Sybrina Fulton.
According to an American website, the celebrity couple’s attendance at the march was praised by crowds shouting ‘thank you, Jay!’ and ‘no concerts in Florida’.
The teenager’s controversial death and trial of Zimmerman has received massive coverage over the past year, with Beyonce’s younger sister Solange Knowles also heading a rally last weekend.
During Beyonce’s Mrs Carter Show World Tour concert in Nashville, Tennessee last week, the singer asked fans to have a moment of silence in honour of the teenager.
Several celebrities voiced their opposition to the trial’s decision on Twitter following the announcement, including Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus.
A six-woman jury accepted the defence’s argument that Zimmerman was acting in self-defense when he shot Trayvon, clearing him of second-degree murder and manslaughter.
The verdict came after more than 16 hours of deliberation following conflicting testimonies from witnesses about whose screams were heard on the recorded 911 call.
