Beyonce, 33, headed to New Orleans this weekend to celebrate with sister Solange, 28, and her husband-to-be Alan Ferguson, 51.
The happy couple threw a party at a local movie theatre for their friends ahead of the wedding, but Jay Z was nowhere to be seen.
Solange and Alan treated their guests to a special screening of the Diana Ross classic Mahogany, which is said to mean a lot to them.
Hayley Sampson, the owner of the cinema, told a US magazine: "It was pretty adorable.

"They were talking about how they met and that they bonded [over] this film and then showed everyone the movie.
"Solange is getting married to a wonderful man on Sunday and they rented out the theatre for a pre wedding party.
"It was beautiful, they were beautiful, Diana Ross is beautiful, love is beautiful."
In May this year footage leaked showing Solange attacking her sister's husband in en elevator after the Met Gala.
Beyonce later released a statement insisting Solange and Jay, 44, had apologised to each other and moved on.
