As one of the biggest celebrity couples in the world, it is thought that Beyoncé didn’t want to give reality TV star Kim a chance to overshadow her on her big day.
A source told the New York Post: “They are guarding like hell their status. Beyoncé wasn’t going to allow a Kardashian to socially climb her. And Jay Z didn’t want Kanye with Kim – he thinks it’s bad for business.
“I think Jay lost a little respect for Kanye there.”

As Kanye and Kim tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Florence, Beyoncé uploaded a snap from the Kimye Vogue shoot with the caption: “Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless you and your beautiful family.”
The Crazy In Love singer then, as if to make it absolutely clear she would not be at the wedding, posted a no make up selfie as the ceremony was taking place.

Before Kim and Kanye’s nuptials, dubbed the ‘celebrity wedding of the year’, it was reported that Beyoncé wanted nothing to do with the public affair.
A source at the time told Radar Online: “Jay and Beyoncé’s wedding was shrouded in secrecy and extreme lengths were made to make sure their wedding was an intimate affair for friends and family, only. This will be the complete opposite. She thinks it’s just tacky.”
