The 49-year-old, who is known for her roles in At Home with the Braithwaites and Doc Martin, is said to be ‘devastated’ after her husband’s death.
Joseph Bennett, 44, was found hanging from a tree in Richmond Park in South West London last month.
The dad-of-two, who was also an actor, starred in Howards End, The Bill and The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles before his death - an inquest into which will take place at a later date.
Joseph and Julie met while starring together in a play over a decade ago, marrying a year later in 2002 and going onto have two children.
Speaking of her husband previously, Julie said: ‘People had proposed to me before but I had always hesitated.’
‘But after eight months, he asked me to marry him and I said ‘yes’ immediately. I’m absolutely nuts about him.’
‘This is the happiest I have ever been’ added the star.
Julie is due to star in hit TV series Benidorm from later this year.
