Congratulations are in order for Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch after he welcomed his first child with wife Sophie Hunter.
A spokesman for the happy couple said: "Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son.
"We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during these next few precious weeks."
Fans are now eagerly waiting to find out what Benedict, 38, and Sophie have named their newborn.
The couple announced their pregnancy earlier this year, with a spokesman saying in a statement: "I am delighted to confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are expecting their first child. They are both over the moon."
Sophie and Benedict married in February just a week before the actor won his Oscar for his performance in hit movie The Imitation Game.
The Academy Award winner broke hearts around the world when he announced his engagement in November last year.
