Congratulations are in order for Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter! The couple have become parents again.
Actor Benedict is a father for the second time after his partner gave birth earlier this month, according to the Mail Online.
Sherlock star Benedict has apparently named his new son Hal, the same name as a Shakespearean prince.
While the name may be a nod to the legendary playwright, it seems Benedict may have also taken inspiration from his fellow actor friend Tom Hiddleston - he played the part of Prince Hal, the name given to Henry V in his plays, which was the part played by Tom in television show The Hollow Crown.
And Benedict may be considering a slight change in his career path now that he is a father as he is only considering taking on roles that his children can watch.
He recently said of his offspring during an appearance on Good Morning Britain: “I want them to know what I do for a living and they can’t always because of the certification of my sims, we’ll all be a lot older by the time they get to see them.
“I would definitely life to do some child-friendly work in the future, I’ve done a bit but there might be a bit more of that.”
