You’d be forgiven for thinking so, because Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are reportedly THIS close to getting back together.
Which, you know, is bad news for his technically-still-current wife Jennifer Garner, but great news for our nostalgia.
Yesterday Ben, 42, and 43-year-old Jennifer announced their separation – just a day after their 10th wedding anniversary. But according to insiders, they actually called time on their marriage six months ago.
Now Hollywood is abuzz with rumours that the original Bennifer are the verge of giving things another go.
A source told The Sun: “Everyone is talking about J-Lo and Ben and saying it’s inevitable they will get together at some point. We call them the Richard Burton and Liz Taylor of Hollywood.”
Ben and J-Lo were the darling couple of showbiz from 2002 to 2004, and they even got engaged during their 18 month romance.
Their wedding was scheduled for 14 September 2003 – but they postponed it just four days before, citing ‘extensive media intrusion’ as the reason.
The following January they broke up for good, and J-Lo has since admitted: ‘I don’t think I had ever been heartbroken in that way before – had so many hopes and dreams on something’.
In 2012 Ben admitted he and J-Lo are still in touch, saying: “We do have the kind of relationship where there’ll be an email saying, ‘Oh, your movie looks great.’ I remember when she got American Idol, I said, ‘This was really smart. Good luck.’”
Ben and Jennifer Garner are said to be working out a way to co-parent their three children, Violet, nine, Seraphina, six, and three-year-old Samuel..
J-Lo has seven-year-old twins Emme and Max from her marriage to Marc Anthony, who she split from in 2011.
