As rumours of a divorce with his wife Jennifer Lopez continue to swirl, insiders say Jennifer Garner has offered her ex-husband Ben Affleck a spare bed to sleep in.

The Batman actor moved out of the home he shares with J-Lo, 54, back in May to a rental in nearby Brentwood, but now pals say his ex-wife, 52, is offering him a room at hers.

“Ben’s got a key to come and go as he pleases, and he’s been spending a ton of time at her place, coming over for dinners and hanging with the kids,” our source reveals.

“It’s great for his state of mind and the kids love having him around. That’s why Jen’s open to the idea of having him move back in, she’s got a lot of space so he wouldn’t be in her way. She knows it would bring a lot of comfort to their kids.”

Ben, 51, and the 13 Going On 30 star – who share children Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12 – were pictured together recently alongside Ben’s mum, Chris, as they supported Samuel on his last day of school. And our insider says it’s family that are really getting him through these tough times.

The source says, “Jen is already doing so much for him, she cooks him meals, she talks him off the ledge when he’s having a rough day. She’s there to cheer him on and pat him on the back. Plus they’re doing an awful lot together with the kids now that school is finishing up.

“In many ways it’s like the old days, except of course there’s nothing romantic between them. As far as they both tell it, what they have is more like a brother-sister relationship than exes. She’s still very happy with John [Miller], this is just about her wanting to keep a closer eye on Ben, helping him out and doing what she feels is best for her kids.”
