In an interview on US television, the president revealed his plan to discourage his daughters warned Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11, from rebelling.
‘What we've said to the girls is, “If you guys ever decided you're going to get a tattoo, then Mommy and me will get the exact same tattoo in the same place — and we'll go on YouTube and show it off as a family tattoo,”’ Obama said.

He added: "our thinking is that might dissuade them from thinking that somehow that's a good way to rebel."
President Obama also laughed off wife Michelle's recent interview slip up in which she described herself as ‘a single mother.’
During a TV appearance this month, Michelle Obama accidentally described herself as a ‘busy single mother’ before quickly correcting herself.
Asked about the incident on the Today Show, the president said, ‘You know, as somebody who has stumbled over my lines many times, I tend to cut my wife or anybody some slack when it comes to just a slip to the tongue.’
But the US head admitted that his wife has had take on more of the parenting duties at times. He said that while he was busy campaigning in 2012, his wife ‘was still working and having to look after the girls.’

Michelle said at the time: ‘You know, when you've got the husband who's president, it can feel a little single — but he's there.’
