Dappy’s people paid the debt collectors £6000 in an effort to keep him out the red, it has been reported.

A source told The Sun: ‘his management got an irate call from bailiffs who said they were fed up hunting for him.’

Those he is in debt to threatened to enter the CBB house themselves in an effort to collect the money.

‘His appearance on CBB had basically been winding up the creditors… so they were planning to go to the house to serve him with court papers.’

The source continued: ‘His people were worried it would have made him look ridiculous… so paid the bill.’

Dappy’s money worries are perhaps a reason why the star has had a change of heart when it comes to appearing in celebrity reality shows.

The star said in an interview last year (on shows such as CBB): ‘No way would I go on one of them, they're the kiss of death.’

He continued: ‘You go on I'm A Celeb or Celebrity Big Brother when your career is fading away.’

The N-Dubz rapper reportedly signed a £100,000 deal to appear in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother, which would definitely give him a helping hand with his cash woes.

Hopefully the bailiffs can stay away from the CBB house the dramatic series has come to an end.
