Aston Merrygold became a father for the first time at the end of January when his fiancé Sarah Lou Richards gave birth and now he has another reason to celebrate after turning thirty today. The JLS singer marked the occasion by sharing a gorgeous picture with his newborn son Grayson Jax.
In the picture, which was posted to Instagram earlier today, Grayson can be seen wearing a special outfit to mark his dad’s birthday – a sweet onesie that reads: ‘Happy 30th birthday Daddy, all my love Grayson’.
Aston ramped up the cute factor even more with the caption: ‘The greatest birthday gift EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤’
It’s been a busy few months for Aston, who revealed that partner Sarah was expecting back in September around the time he started taking part in Strictly Come Dancing. The pair then announced on Boxing Day that they had gotten engaged over the festive period.
The couple have been together for five years and met when Sarah was a backing dancer for JLS.
Speaking to Closer Online before the birth, Aston revealed that he couldn’t wait to be a father.
"It’s all just going to be brand new. The whole process of watching the bump grow, going to scans and seeing the baby getting bigger and listening to the heartbeat was just amazing," he gushed.
