Footballer Ashley Cole is reportedly expecting a baby with his girlfriend Sharon Canu, whom he first met when he joined AS Roma last summer.
The 34-year-old is 'overjoyed by the news’, according to The Sun on Sunday.
A source added: “Ashley’s over the moon, too. He couldn’t wait to find out the baby’s sex and he’s chuffed that it’s a boy.
“Sharon’s sweet and from a normal Italian family. His friends and family love her.”
Sharon’s granddad reportedly revealed from his Rome home that the little one is due in March.
He said: “Ashley is very happy. He’s a good guy — and my granddaughter is a beauty.”
Cheryl, 32, who divorced Ashley after his cheating was exposed, is now married to Jean-Bernard.
Despite previously wanting children, she said recently: ‘Maybe it’s not for me’.
Ashley Cole has not commented on recent reports.
