The Apprentice’s Daniel Lassman lost out on TOWIE role to Mark Wright

The Apprentice contestant Daniel Lassman reportedly turned down a role on The Only Way Is Essex, which was then handed to Mark Wright.

Daniel- who runs a pub quiz business- was allegedly approached by producers of the ITV reality show, but he decided to focus on making big money with his business instead.

An insider told The Sun: “Daniel is a bit of a wheeler-dealer and a bit of a geezer, so a TOWIE-style programme would have suited him down to the ground.

“He was approached by the television company and he was seriously considering it but after a lot of thought he decided to dedicate his time to growing his business.

“He’s always fancied himself as a bit of a personality, so now he’s on The Apprentice with a chance of winning a £250,000 investment, it looks like a good call.”

The role instead went to Mark Wright, who has achieved phenomenal success despite quitting the show in 2011.

He has since made appearances on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here and Strictly Come Dancing.

The 27-year-old also presents his own radio show and has starred in his own reality series Party Wright Around The World.
