News broke over the weekend that Ant McPartlin and his wife Lisa Armstrong are getting a divorce
TV presenter Ant McPartlin recently confirmed that he has filed for divorce from his wife Lisa Armstrong of 11 years.
In a statement confirming the news, Ant's spokesman said: "In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.
"Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families. No further statements will be made," they told the Mirror.

Shortly after his stint there was a lot of speculation about the end of his marriage which led to Lisa speaking out amid the rumours. However following their 20-years relationship, Ant filed for divorce after a series of 'emotional crisis talks' with his wife.
A source told The Sun that although it "was a tough decision" for the TV star, "he had to do the right thing for his health."
Now it's been reported by the publication that the 42-year-old TV presenter, who reportedly makes £79,000 a day, is ready to give his wife half of his fortune in order to remain on "amicable" terms.
A source told the publication: "It’s a huge amount but he wants Lisa to be financially and emotionally supported.
"He wants things to be amicable and doesn’t want a drawn out court battle with Lisa. He still views her as a best friend and wants them both to be able to walk away from the marriage positively."
They added: "He is happy to give Lisa 50 per cent in the divorce if that is what is agreed by their lawyers."
