The Kyle Walker, Lauryn Goodman and Annie Kilner love triangle has dominated headlines in recent months – and now reports have claimed that Lauryn is planning on heading out to the Euros in Germany this summer, risking a potential face-to-face with Annie.
A source has revealed that Lauryn, 33 – who shares son Kairo, four, and a 10-month-old daughter with the Manchester City player, 33 – has been telling friends, “I am determined my children will get to see their daddy playing for the Three Lions this summer.”
Annie, 31 – who has reportedly rekindled things with Kyle – also plans to be in Germany with her and Kyle’s kids, Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five, and their unnamed youngest son, born earlier this month.
And now insiders say that Kyle is keen to keep the drama surrounding his personal life away from football and doesn’t want another scandal.
A source says, “Even though his actions have been the cause of the drama, Kyle is keen to keep things at bay during the Euros. He wants everything to be sorted privately and to move forward, so that he can be in everyone’s lives and be there for his kids. He would love for them to all see him play, but he doesn’t want catfights or for the kids to witness anything. He also doesn’t want things in his personal life to impact his performance on the pitch.”
Kyle and Annie are childhood sweethearts – meeting aged 17 and 15 respectively – but first split back in 2019 when it emerged that Kyle had been unfaithful with Ex On The Beach star Laura Brown.
During this time apart, Kyle began seeing Lauryn and scandal broke when she became pregnant with their son.
In 2021, Annie and Kyle reconciled and had a secret wedding ceremony, but they were rocked again after Lauryn gave birth to a daughter.
Kyle was revealed as the dad in January this year, and tensions reached fever pitch. After Kyle issued a public apology, Lauryn shared her side of the story in an interview, saying, “Kyle was happy hiding the truth because he had two families and was scared about what would happen when Annie knew.”
Annie’s sister Sian then waded in, writing on Instagram, “My sister, who is now seven months pregnant, has faced your cruelty for almost five years now. What’s your goal? The so-called ‘loving’ relationship is a façade… it’s not fooling anyone.” The pair later bickered over what Kyle’s coffee order was, battling it out over who knew Kyle best.
While at the time Annie announced that she was separating from Kyle, sources said he was at the birth of their fourth child and the pair are trying to repair their relationship. Reports have also claimed that Annie has hired Coleen Rooney’s PR to help with damage control, and is even in talks with lawyers about potentially taking things to court.
So a meeting between the two women at the Euros would no doubt be fiery, but insiders say Lauryn isn’t interested in a showdown.
The insider says, “Lauryn is planning on going to the Euros and while it would be really awkward to see Annie, she isn’t worried. In her view, they aren’t friends and they have no reason to speak. Lauryn maintains she tried to be mature about the whole situation, but in her eyes, the way Annie has behaved has resulted in a media frenzy – especially with her now hiring Coleen’s PR lady.
“It’s been a lot of drama and Lauryn now just wants to be done with it all – life is too short. She doesn’t want any more cat fights or arguments, especially when kids are involved.”
While a video of Kyle playing football with his and Lauryn’s son Kairo was shared online in January, it’s unclear exactly how involved he is in their lives or what relationship he currently has with Lauryn.
