Sky News have reported that the marriage took place over the weekend in Europe, after a two year engagement for the pair.

The nuptials reportedly took place at their home in Brignol, Aix-en-Provence, where they own the rambling 1,000 acre Chateau Miraval.

Brad and Angelina also have homes in Los Angeles, where they reside most of the time, and now in Valpolicella, Italy.

Known widely as 'Brangelina,' the pair have been together for nine years since meeting on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith, and have six children. They include three biological children: Vivienne, Shiloh and Knox, and three adopted children: Pax, Maddox and Zahara.

A spokesperson for the couple added that all six children were involved in the ceremony, with sons Maddox and Pax walking the aisle with their mother, Zahara and Vivienne throwing petals and Shiloh and Knox being ring bearers.

The family have now flown to Malta, where they are set to begin filming By The Sea, their first film together since Mr & Mrs Smith.

Before his relationship with Angelina, Brad was married to Jennifer Aniston for five years between 2000 - 2005. Angelina on the other hand has been married to actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton in the past. Despite admitting that she and Brad 'fell in love' on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith, Angelina has always maintained Brad was not unfaithful to his then wife, and that she could not be attracted to a man who would cheat on someone.
